Jan Sasse and Antti Mäki to join the A-lehdet board of directors

In addition to acting as the CEO of the state-owned investment company Finnish Industry Investment Ltd, Jan Sasse also serves on the board of directors of the Finnish Venture Capital Association and Aker Arctic Oy, among others. He is experienced in the fields of media, internationalising growth companies and significant merger and acquisition projects. Sasse lends a much needed comprehensive skill set and a network crucial to international success to the group’s growth objectives.
“I was interested in the seat on the A-lehdet board of directors because the company has a clear strategy concerning its growth path and a will to grow in the international market. It is exciting to be a part of writing this group’s story,” Sasse says.
Antti Mäki works as a digital transformation consultant in his own company in London. He has extensive experience in leadership roles in advertising, marketing and digital business and consultancy. Mäki will be able to offer our company more international cutting edge expertise and a visionary strategic mindset required by digital operations.
”A-lehdet is an interesting family-owned company, whose strategic ability to seek growth in completely new business areas is bold and open-minded,” Mäki says.
”Over the space of 87 years, A-lehdet has grown from the publisher of Apu magazine to an international group systematically looking for new business models to add to its media business. We are glad to have Jani and Antti on board to build a new and strategic, as well as a more growth-oriented, approach than before to our work on the board,” says Chair of the Board of Directors at A-lehdet Olli-Pekka Lyytikäinen.
The members of the board of directors of A-lehdet are Olli-Pekka Lyytikäinen, Anne Lyytikäinen-Palmroth, Joonas Lyytikäinen, Pekka Mattila, Antti Mäki and Jan Sasse. The company’s CEO is Kaisa Ala-Laurila.
