A-lehdet is a Finnish family business with a great history
1933
Aune and Yrjö Lyytikäinen began publishing Apu magazine. ‘Buy Apu and help the unemployed.’
1950
Apu’s adventurous journalist Matti Jämsä offered topics of conversation with his antics in the 50s.
1967
Avotakka was launched in 1967 whilst it merged with the magazine Miten rakennan.
1970
A-lehdet bought several magazines. Tuulilasi, Eeva and Kauneus & Terveys were added to its portfolio.
2014
A-lehdet became the majority shareholder for the online store Finnish Design Shop.
2019
A-lehdet became the majority shareholder for the growth marketing agency Genero.
2020
A-lehdet became the majority shareholder for the online retailer Keskisen Kello.
2023
A-lehdet becomes a partner of Satokausi Media.
